About us

Automation for the businesses everyone else forgot

The AI world builds for tech companies. We build for the accountants, hauliers, merchants and family firms who actually keep the country running — and who deserve their evenings back.

Why Kodie exists

Walk into the office of any small firm — a haulage yard, an accountancy practice, a builders' merchant — and you'll find the same thing: capable people spending hours every week re-typing information that already exists somewhere else.

Meanwhile, the automation industry talks to itself. The tools assume you have a software team, the pricing assumes you're a startup, and the marketing assumes you care about "AI transformation." None of it was built for the firm with five people in the office and a phone that doesn't stop ringing.

Kodie is our answer to that. Not a product to install — a service that learns how your business works, builds the automation around it, and stays close. Plain English, fixed quotes, and a person who picks up the phone.

What we believe

Four things we won't budge on

Plain English, always

If we can't explain what we're building in a sentence you'd say out loud, we haven't understood it well enough ourselves.

Built around you

Your business shouldn't bend to fit software. We build around the tools, habits and quirks you already have.

A human answers

Automation should make businesses feel more human, not less. When you call, a person who knows your setup picks up.

Honest about limits

Some jobs shouldn't be automated. When that's the answer, we'll say so — even when it costs us the work.

Who's behind it

A small team, on purpose

J
John Geater Founder · Kodie

"I started Kodie because too many good businesses lose their evenings to admin a machine should be doing. The technology to fix it has existed for years — it just needed bringing over in plain English, at a price a small firm can actually say yes to."

Bristol-based, working with firms across the South West and beyond — by phone, by video, and in person when it matters.
